When we rebuilt the church between 1999 and 2002, we also purchased the land fronting the High Street. We used this to make a partnership with Providence Housing Association that could build what is now named Acorn House.
This is a seventeen bedroom facility in which derelict and recovering people could stay and be healed. It is managed by the Spitalfields Crypt Trust. This link will give you up to date information:
Shoreditch Church continues to support this work by giving substantial benefit in kind. It continues to be an exceptionally successful work. We financially support two other charities both concerned with Bible translation. One is in Africa, the other on the Indian sub-continent.
No charge is made to visitors, but we would simply remind all those that do visit, that the annual maintenance costs, and the costs involved in keeping the church open are substantial, and appeal to you to support us with those costs
